Through the generous support of The Carroll and Milton Petrie Foundation, CUNY Graduate Center Digital Initiatives is proud to host the 2023 Digital Project Institute for twenty CUNY undergraduate students. Comprised of a four-day intensive institute, held in January 2023, and a semester-long, mentored project-building process, the institute aims to equip CUNY students with skills ranging from data management to JavaScript to data visualization that will help them improve their job search processes and career readiness.

Mixing technical training sessions with lunchtime talks from industry professionals and career planning professionals, the program addresses two primary challenges students face: demonstrating the range of their experience and expertise to potential employers and filling in technical skills required to work in collaborative tech development settings.

We are excited to set this project in motion and invite to learn more about our curriculum (under the Workshops tab above), our student participants, and our staff.
